Doctors of BC – Business Pathways

The Business Pathway is a Doctors of BC initiative that focuses on supporting doctors in navigating the operational side of managing a business. This service is available to all members of Doctors of BC.Explore a variety of resources for the Business Pathway program or contact the Vancouver Island Business Advisor, Darla MacIver, for direct support.

Doctors of BC – Practice Support Program

The Practice Support Program (PSP) by Doctors of BC supports family physicians in optimizing their practices, improving health technology uses, and managing patient panels more effectively. The team works to enhance practice efficiency, allowing more time for proactive patient care and integration of patient medical home attributes. Services are tailored to address your specific needs and fit your busy schedule! PSP offers compensation and MainPro+ credits for eligible family physicians and primary care team members participating in PSP services. To request support from PSP, please click here.

SWITCH BC

SWITCH BC – Safety, Wellbeing, Innovation, Training, and Collaboration in Healthcare – was created to take a collaborative, province-wide approach to health and safety management, psychological safety, and wellbeing programs. This independent, not-for-profit organization works to improve occupational health, safety, and wellbeing programs and practices for healthcare settings. Browse the Community Physician Health and Safety Guide, which provides tools and resources to support and enhance workplace health and safety for physicians and their support staff. SWITCH BC offers a free health and safety assessment of your clinic, which focuses on incident response, managing risk, and non-medical emergency preparedness, worker training, and preventing violence.
