The Progress in Child and Adolescent Mental Health is a self-approved group learning activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. A certificate of attendance will be provided following each presentation.

- Describe the phenomenology of irritability/emotion dysregulation and resulting outbursts
- Discuss of the existing measures of irritability/emotion dysregulation and issues around using them
- Discuss the possible outcomes of irritability and outbursts
- Discuss evidence-based medication and psychosocial treatments available for outpatient treatment of dysregulation and outbursts.
