Island Health is now accepting applications from clinics interested in hosting UBC IMG Family Practice Return of Service (ROS) residents, who will be practice‑ready in summer 2027. The Victoria Residency Site currently has six R1 IMGs who will qualify for this match, and once clinics are approved as an ROS site, they are welcome to coordinate electives with these residents during their R2 year — a valuable way for both residents and clinics to assess fit. This year’s eligibility criteria include clinics in both urban and semi‑urban communities that are group practices of at least three family physicians offering full‑service care.
Applications are due March 20, 2026, and should be submitted to medstaffrecruitment@islandhealth.ca. Clinics will be notified of outcomes by April 24, 2026.
