The South Island and Victoria Divisions of Family Practice have opened enrolment for Locum Connect, a central hub connecting locum and host physicians with coverage opportunities across Greater Victoria and Salt Spring Island.
With funding for the successful Urban Locum Program Pilot ending March 31, Locum Connect is an interim step to preserve essential supports. The service focuses on coverage under the LFP payment model and will run at least April 1–September 30, 2026, with its Steering Committee exploring options to extend the duration and support scope.
