The Health Connect Registry on Salt Spring Island

Aug 6, 2025

“Our Health Connect Registry booth at the Salt Spring Island Farmer’s Market was busy with conversation as I engaged with locals, many of whom shared stories about being on the registry for years and the deep frustration they’ve felt navigating a strained medical system. These conversations reminded me why this work matters. I listened and talked about the on-going efforts to build stronger, more responsive primary care networks, and about voices like theirs shaping the way forward. By the end of the conversations, what started as a space of concern became one of connection, possibility, and a renewed belief in a healthier future.”
Sarah Bulmer, SSI PCN Project Lead
