Many Unattached Patients Still Not on the Health Connect Registry

May 6, 2026

Thousands of unattached people in the South Island are not yet registered with the Health Connect Registry (HCR). This one-time sign-up connects patients with family doctors and nurse practitioners as openings become available and supports healthcare resource allocation for the South Island. Please continue directing unattached patients to the HCR.

The Health Connect Registry has download printable posters for your clinic, or you can request colour posters and wallet cards at attachment@sidfp.ca.
