New Recruitment and Retention Contractor

Sep 4, 2025

Welcome Katie Macquarrie who has joined SIDFP as a Recruitment and Retention Contractor. She brings nearly 20 years of experience from UVic, including eight with the Island Medical Program, and currently supports the UBC Family Practice Residency Program – Victoria Site. Katie previously worked with the Divisions on the Urban Locum Program during its early development. With a Human Resources Management certificate from SFU and a focus on recruitment, Katie is currently pursuing her Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation. Having grown up across Canada and internationally, Katie is passionate about helping newcomers feel welcomed and supported—making her work with IMG and PRA-BC physicians especially meaningful. Outside of work, Katie is a proud mum to a classical music-loving 12-year-old and a goofy golden retriever/lab.

We are thrilled to have Katie join our team. Get in touch with her at katie.macquarrie@sidfp.com.
