SIDFP Recruitment & Retention Update

Oct 6, 2026

As of October 1, Katie Macquarrie has stepped into the role of Provider Recruitment & Community Development Manager with the South Island Division of Family Practice. In this new position, Katie will focus on recruiting and supporting family physicians, nurse practitioners and other primary care providers for community-based clinics across the South Island, while helping strengthen connections between providers and the communities they serve.

After many successful years as the Division’s Recruitment Lead, Niki Bouchard is transitioning to a contractor role with the Division. Niki will focus on clinic and infrastructure development, working collaboratively with municipalities, private sector partners, community leaders and non-profit organizations to support the creation of new clinical spaces and expand capacity for primary care providers throughout the region.

We thank Niki for her ongoing contributions and wish Katie success in her new role as we continue to strengthen primary care access across the South Island.

Contact Katie at 250-812-1983 (katie.macquarrie@sidfp.com) and Niki at 778-678-4549 (niki.bouchard@sidfp.com).
