Dr. Katrina Bouchard, Assistant Professor in the UBC Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and her team are recruiting participants with low sexual desire/arousal and their partners for the HOLD Trial, a clinical trial of couple-based sex therapy.
About the HOLD Trial
Couples in the HOLD Trial will be randomized to receive couple-based sex therapy for low sexual desire/arousal right away or be place on a waitlist and offered therapy about 11 months later. All therapy is complimentary (free) and provided by a PhD-level clinical psychology trainee on a virtual care platform. Thus, the HOLD Trial is accessible to patients who live anywhere in BC. This trial is funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the investigators from all three sites are listed here: https://phaselab.med.ubc.ca/studies/hold-trial/.
Interested patients who seem to experience low sexual desire/arousal can be invited to contact our study team via email phase.HOLD@ubc.ca to be screened for eligibility. Please see attached recruitment materials or visit our website: https://phaselab.med.ubc.ca/studies/hold-trial/ .
