South Island Division Board of Directors
A significant advantage of being a General Member with the South Island Division is the opportunity to be nominated for the Board of Directors and to vote for fellow members to join the Board.
Our Board of Directors, in collaboration with the Executive Director and Division Staff, advance the strategic priorities of the South Island Division.

Roles & Responsibilities
Our Board of Directors provides leadership and stewardship of the activities of the Division, while representing the interests of our members and the broader community.
Explore our new strategic priorities and find out how you can contribute to supporting your colleagues and our community.
Meetings & Time Commitment
Our Board attends monthly meetings (2 hours) and are expected to come prepared for discussion and input (1-hour paid preparation time).
There are optional sub-Committees of the Board, which include the Executive and Finance Committees (2 hours per quarter).
Each year, we welcome general members of the South Island Division to apply for the Board of Directors.
Nominations for the 2024 election are now closed. Successful candidates will be announced at the Annual General Meeting, which takes place on October 17, 2024.
