Build Strong (by the Construction Industry Rehabilitation Plan – CIRP) provides care at the Langford Pain Clinic (582 Goldstream Ave.). This clinic offers free, medication-free pain care for BC construction and trade workers and eligible family members.
The service supports patients presenting with chronic musculoskeletal pain (e.g., back, shoulder, hip, knee pain, sciatica, headaches, etc.) by assessing and addressing the myofascial contributions that may be sustaining pain and functional limitation.
The clinic frequently sees patients with co-occurring mental health conditions and substance use concerns, recognizing the complex relationship between persistent pain, trauma exposure, occupational strain, and substance use in trades populations. The clinic operates within the broader Build Strong framework, allowing for integrated counselling services for eligible union members when appropriate.
